Summary of Result Targets

The project is to provide the TRADP member countries (i.e., DPRK, Mongolia, PRC, ROK and Russia) with guiding policies and plans for building science and technology(S&T) infrastructure in and around the Tumen River area, on the basis of which multilateral S&T cooperation among the TRADP member countries could be promoted, encouraged and enhanced. It is expected that the project would contribute to the promotion of standards of living in the area through the enhanced technology transfers among TRADP member countries.

The followings are the outputs of the project;

a. An analysis report on S&T infrastructure in and around the Tumen River area, which includes databases of S&T information, human resources, R&D facilities, bilateral and multilateral technological cooperation systems, and

b. Policies and plans for the establishment of the Northeast Asia S&T Co-operation System/Center as a S&T co-operative network for the economic development of TRADP member countries. .
