AWARE
writing papers The AWARE (ness) component consists of two
subcomponents: Small Grants Program (SGP),
and the Awareness Raising Program (ARP).
The initially planned ‘TumenNET Environment Excellence Award’ could
never be launched unfortunately because of legal concerns from UNOPS HQ.
Together, these project components aim to support the TDA-SAP process by
informing local stakeholders, sensitising local communities and providing
limited resources for practical self-help measures to reduce environmental
degradation at the village level.
Under guidance from the Regional Lead Agent, the
Mongolian Nature and Environment Consortium in Ulaanbaatar, a Regional EIC
strategy (Education - Information - Communication)
was the basis for national EIC strategies that were prepared by AWARE
partner institutions in national languages.
